The UQSFFS meets weekly during semester for various nerdy activities like movie nights, board games, and tabletop gaming nights - with occasional trips to see new release sci-fi and fantasy films. The club prides itself on having a safe and welcoming environment for all of our members, so everyone can share their passion for science fiction, fantasy, comic books, video games, board games, tabletop

gaming, or anything else geeky! We:

Hello all! This is just to give everyone 2 weeks notice of our AGM happening on the 23rd

Please make sure to arrive at this event on time as we need to meet our quorum for the club to continue next year. After AGM we will have pizza and our presentation night (a sign up sheet for this will be released closer to the date). .

If you would also like to express interest in running for a position in our executive team a sign up sheet will be made available via our discord soon. We will also be taking nominations from the floor on the night, however, we would prefer if you could notify us in advance about any interests you may have in the position so that we can inform you about the duties expected of you if you join our team. If you have any questions in regards to the purpose and duty of these roles, please send one of our executives a message through Discord DMs

Introducing our events up until midsem!
We're trying out a new event this sem, the Coffee Catch-Up! Held every 3rd Tuesday at a cafe on campus, coffee catch ups encourage you to step away from the study and come get to know your fellow society members more, talk about your interests, and have fun!
(plus the first few attendees will get a coffee on us!)
Weekly event posts will still happen, but this is going out early for all the folks that love to plan ahead
