The Inner Garden We are working towards being the first Healing Arts Garden in St Kilda Melbourne...follow and help us as we build and grow. Tuesday to Sunday.

‘The Inner Garden (TIG) concept…

We envisage The Inner Garden as a sanctuary in an urban setting; A tranquil space in a garden environment dedicated to the practice of yoga, sound healing, meditation, sauna, personal treatments, workshops and tea ceremony. For people in the local community who wish to practise any of the offered health therapies at The Inner Garden and have financial restric

tions we plan to offer classes which are either free or at a gold coin donation up to three times per week during weekdays. These classes will be run by volunteer teachers honing their craft. The Inner Garden also aims to be a place that gives back to the healing arts community by offering a platform for emerging teachers to perfect their craft and gain valuable teaching experience. Finding a real life space where you can practice as a teacher can be tough; We plan to make available the The Inner Garden’s studio space free of charge up to three times per week to allow emerging teachers to teach to the public. We will help to promote their classes too. This is aimed to support both the emerging teachers and the students partaking in the classes and boosting new teachers confidence whilst they find their feet as a practicing teacher. The Inner Garden will not limit or favour volunteer time slots to specifically to yoga. Instead, we hope to support Teachers of all types of disciplines including guided meditation, chakral healing and alignment, self empowerment workshops and teachings of many forms & styles. As an ongoing permanent timetable we intend to run yoga classes in the garden glass walled hexagon Studio Space during the day and early evenings. We also intend to install and operate two electric wooden barrel saunas during the day and early evening. Tea will be a shared ritual in the garden. Brewed carefully we will have a large selection of locally made and internationally grown teas from all over the world. Choose your favourite teacup from our eclectic collection and bask in the humble joy that tea brings. Furthermore we aim to hold an ‘open day’ biannually whereupon anyone can visit and partake with a small donation. This will run like a mini-festival and all profits made on this day will be donated to a local charity. Volunteer teachers will hold classes and workshops throughout the day. All facilities during open days will be available to the public including classes in the studio, tea house facilities, saunas, hot-tubs and open air discussion groups in the garden. Finally, in addition to the above mentioned open days, we intend to host scheduled workshops, seminars and films for the local community as they happen. The Inner garden will aim to open 6 days a week. Opening hours weekdays will be approx 7am to 8pm and 9am-8pm Saturdays. The Garden will be closed Mondays unless a special event is organised
