Lion Group

History on the time frame are like:

1900s
Mr Mirza Abdul Kader Sarder started a shoe manufacturing business in the old Dhaka, which has paved the way for Lion Group to start the journey.


1920s
Mr Mirza Abdul Kader Sarder first established a commercial theater in the country, named Lion Theater.


1930s
The Lion Theater was converted to Lion Cinema. The first Muslim cinema hall of Bangladesh

, located at the Islampur of old Dhaka.


1940s
Another branch of Lion Cinema was opened in Chittagong.


1947
Mr Kader Sarder established a philanthropic, social welfare and community development organizations to help the poor people of this country, named Kader Sarder Foundation.


1979
A new venture, called N N Films, was opened by Mr Mirza Abdul Khaleq son of Mr Kader Sarder. This is a Bangladeshi film production company, which has produced many famous and hit Bangladeshi films.


1993
A toy manufacturing company was established with the joint collaboration of the Thai people, called Lion Toys.


1997
Another company was opened this year for producing voltage stabilizer and IPS in called Lion Electronics.


1999
The flag-ship company of the group was established this year called Lion Agro for producing broiler chicks and eggs.


2001
This year another business unit was established for trading poultry, dairy and fishery feeds and medicines, called Lion Overseas Trading Company.


2006
The new Lion Group corporate mark and logo are launched.
