Cinephile - The Independent Cinematic Center "Cinéphile" was established in 2022, aiming to be a comprehensive and dynamic cinematic center in Alexandria.

The center is dedicated to supporting and developing film screenings, artistic experimentation, film education, and cinematic archiving. Cinéphile – The Independent Cinematic Center
"Cinéphile" was established in 2023, aiming to be a comprehensive and dynamic cinematic center in Alexandria. "Cinéphile" houses the first fully equipped independent screening hall in Alexandria, with a seating capaci

ty of up to 36 viewers. The hall offers a regular program featuring independent and art-house films from around the world, creating an alternative, open space for cinema enthusiasts and filmmakers, and encouraging engagement with diverse and unconventional cinematic experiences. In addition, the center includes a dedicated training and lecture cinematic hall, also used for cinema heritage exhibitions, a cinematic archive section, a specialized cinema library, and a research unit on cinema studies.

سعداء في سينيفيل – المركز السينمائي المستقل بالإعلان عن عروض شهر ابريل ٢٠٢٦ لبرنامج عروض الأفلام "تقاطعات بين هنا وهناك" الذي يحتفي بتنوع الأصوات العربية داخل المنطقة وخارجها
يقدّم مجموعة من الأفلام التي تعبّر عن تجارب العيش والهجرة والانتماء، وتكشف كيف تتقاطع الهويات والرؤى بين صناع السينما العرب في أوطانهم وأولئك المقيمين في أوروبا.
“تقاطعات” هو مساحة للتأمل والتفكير والحوار، حيث تلتقي الذاكرة بالواقع، والحنين بالاكتشاف، والأمل بالإحباط في لحظة سينمائية واحدة على الشاشة.

We are pleased at Cinephile – The Independent Cinematic Center to announce our its April 2026 screenings for The film screening program “Intersections Between Here and There” which celebrates the diversity of Arab voices both within and outside the region.
It presents a selection of films that express experiences of life, migration, and belonging, revealing how identities and perspectives intersect between Arab filmmakers in their homelands and those living in Europe.
“Intersections” is a space for contemplation, thinking, and dialogue, where memory meets reality, nostalgia meets discovery, and hope intertwines with disillusionment in a single cinematic moment on screen.
