May is the month of flowers, the month of the Virgin Mary and the month of seduction. A month of celebrations, symbols and excesses that invite us to seek the sublime in the everyday, to recognize the ornamental as something worthy of devotion. But what happens when the sacred and the profane intertwine in a game of exaggeration and subversion? The irreprehensible erratic emerges and the notion of the camp as “a conception of the world in terms of style; but of a particular kind of style. It is the love of the exaggerated, the ‘off’, the improper being of things” (Susan Sontag).
A new drawing of chaos where every imposed social scheme is broken by the new desires and identities that come with the arrival of the sun and the hand of dissident dialogues and conversations, classics and contemporary films that contrast, from q***r to trash, but above all camp.
