Would your elderly loved one prefer to sit at home or go to Newlands Corner for a Mr Whippy ice cream? 🙂
Well we went out on Thursday just to take in the views and get some fresh air.
Of course not everyone's mobile but as one client's son said to me 'you take the inside out and you bring the outside in'. The same companion arriving on time, with a smile on their face wanting to find out more about the client and to chat about the past whilst making a cup of tea or putting the shopping away is how we also break up the day or week.
Please get in touch if you want to find out more how we can help.

This week is Dementia Action Week. It's about raising awareness of dementia. We work every day with dementia and understand and see how it presents very differently in every client of ours.

Chit Chat and Chores is a Dementia Friendly Champion for Surrey County Council and are continuing with our Dementia Information Desk at Bisley Village Hall. This will be on the 3rd Monday of the Month through the summer period. First one is 15th June. Not only is there the Dementia Information Desk but a really friendly welcoming coffee morning where everyone is invited!

More and more of our clients' families are asking for assistance with admin and IT as well as going out and making and taking to appointments. Today, our companion, Julia, was described as very proactive, positive and a breath of fresh air by our client. She went on to thank me for choosing her companion who she really cannot imagine ever being without.

Each of our Chit Chat and Chores clients want and need something different. This is why working one on one allows us to offer a bespoke and tailor made service.
