At Brighton Rocks we have been very lucky to host some incredible guests and creators over the course of our journey. But this year brought one of our favourites yet; musician Dylan Holloway.

Dylan brought his inspiring film to BRIFF this year; he graced us with an insight into his transition journey. Allowing us to share his story was an honour and privilege that we will never take lightly. Following on from his screening he put on a wonderful performance for us; sharing his unreleased album and creating a wonderful environment for everyone involved ✨

At BRIFF we love being able to share our stage with creatives and other talented artists throughout the festival: who knows what next year will bring!?!🎬😁

“We’ve gone on holiday by mistake!” Few films capture that end-of-summer, end-of-an-era feeling quite like the 1987 classic Withnail & I, celebrated for Richard E. Grant and Paul McGann’s iconic performances, Bruce Robinson’s superb script, and, of course, the infamous Camden-to-Cumbria road trip. What’s not to love?

We haven’t finished reminiscing, at BRIFF we’re all about showcasing our loyal and talented filmmakers!

Although we’ve wrapped our festival for the year we still want to continue to support our partners and incredible filmmakers. Therefore we are putting together a series of posts that exhibit the emotions and joy that Brighton Rocks brings to the community.

Emotions, thoughts, feelings, everything we all experienced at BRIFF26; we want to show off through the eye of the camera lenses of our dedicated photographers ⋆˚꩜。𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 。꩜˚⋆ 📸

We have something incredibly exciting to share with you!!👀

Join the Creative Nonfiction Film Weekend and Brighton Rocks for a screening of Tube Film, a DIY personal documentary co-directed by CNFW’s founders Orla Smith and Kimia Ipakchi (they’ll be there for a Q&A!).

In the film, Kimia films Orla as she goes on the Tube for the first time since having a panic attack there 2 years prior. It’s a film about anxiety, willpower, and whether making films can be effective therapy. Maybe it’s a bit about friendship too. The documentary is meant to inspire a lot of conversation and debate, so bring your friends and stick around for the discussion afterwards.

SCREENING DETAILS
July 13th
Door at 7pm, film at 7:30pm
Location: Pink Moon
