ow đ Best Books of 2026 (So Far!) + How to Nominate Our Next ReadsI
tâs been a cracking year for books already â from new thrillers to gorgeous literary fiction â and we love seeing what everyone is getting stuck into.
As we head into the second half of 2026, I'm reminding you how to do nominations for both our Glasgow and Ayrshire Book Groups on the Bookclubs app.
If youâve read something brilliant this year, or youâve got a book youâd love the group to read, you can nominate it easily on Bookclubs.
It takes seconds and helps build our upcoming polls.
â How to Nominate a Book on Bookclubs
Request to Join
Join either the Glasgow or Ayrshire group (theyâre separate groups on Bookclubs).
Go to âBooks We Want To Readâ
This is our shared list of future reads.
Click âRecommend a Bookâ
Youâll see a search bar pop up.Type the Book Name
Bookclubz will automatically generate the cover image and description.
Once youâve added it, I can pull it straight into our next poll when voting opens. It keeps everything tidy, visual, and easy for everyone to browse.
đ Why We Love This System
It keeps nominations fair and visible
It gives everyone a chance to champion their favourites
It creates a lovely mix of genres and authors
It helps new members get involved right away
đ Glasgow & Ayrshire Groups
Both groups run their own polls, so feel free to nominate different books in each â or the same one if you think it deserves a double outing.
All I ask is - try to keep the cost of the book reasonable - new books are quite expensive if only available in hardback. Make sure it is around the 400/500 page mark to make it easy to read in a month. Make sure it is available in Kindle, physical and audio.
Also please do not get involved in the nominating/voting if you have no intention of attending the book group.
Easy!
