Garden of the Hesperides
At the Brera Botanical Garden, a sweeping wooden portico cuts through the landscape, guiding visitors along a path of discovery.
Between nature and construction, the Hesperides—the nymphs guarding the golden apples—emerge as scattered presences.
A dialogue between landscape, myth, and architecture.

Discover the installation during Milan Design Week 2026.

A space is not built through architecture alone.
It is also built through dialogue.
Throughout the week, Punk Witch becomes a place of exchange:
a series of conversations crossing themes, perspectives, and disciplines.
A moment to pause, listen, and engage.

Imagine a home inside a library.
Over 10,000 volumes define the space
not as an archive,
but as a living system.
Shelves become walls,
books become thresholds, and the domestic interior transforms into a place of exchange.
Here, space is not only passed through.
It is activated — through reading, dialogue, and presence.

A project does not begin when the space is complete.
It begins much earlier, when material starts entering into dialogue with place.

On site, every mark is a decision.
Every surface remains open.
Every element is in transformation.
There is no final form yet,
but there is already a direction.

Montebello begins here:between what already existsand what is taking shape.

During Milan Design Week 2026, Annabel Karim Kassar opens the doors of “Punk Witch”, a modernist apartment in Brera housing over 10,000 books from the collection of George Kerevan.
A space to explore, move through, and experience — among books, encounters, and unexpected moments.

Annabel Karim Kassar
A design presence moving across forms, disciplines and cultures.

Within her work, architecture, interiors and objects emerge as parts of the same design language, one that moves between memory, material and a contemporary sensibility.

Through Annaka Design & AKK Architects, this approach unfolds across different scales, giving shape to spaces defined by clarity, character and a strong sense of identity.

The artistic gesture
In our work, the stroke often comes before space.
Drawing and painting become a field of exploration: colour, rhythm, composition.
A language that moves across surfaces — from canvas to architecture.

AA contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional Middle Eastern coffee table.

With Diamond Table, we revisit the archetype of the low table, refining it into a sharper and more calibrated geometry.

The wooden base, clad in mirrored polycarbonate, captures light and reflections, allowing the surrounding space to complete the object.
A piece that reflects the design language of Annaka Design & AKK Architects

In our work, architecture is a structure that holds thought.

It does not emerge from an imposed form,
but from a process shaped by questions, layers, and relationships.
Every space takes shape through a subtle balance between culture, material, and memorya continuous dialogue between what exists and what could become.

Research into textures, colours and materials constitutes an essential step in our design practice.

Surfaces, patterns and chromatic compositions are not treated as simple finishes, but as tools capable of shaping the perception of domestic space, introducing rhythm, depth and vision.
It is through this work on surfaces that each interior acquires character and singularity, defining a spatial grammar recognisable in the language of Annaka Design & AKK Architects.
