Celebrate the end of the year with CineBooth at Short Collections Vol. 8: Al Fresco at , our special Christmas edition on 4 December. Join us for a night of bold, brilliant shorts from around the globe, curated to entertain, provoke, and inspire.

Did you catch Jus D’Orange during Short Collections Vol.7 at ? This award-winning animated short has travelled the world, winning accolades from Brooklyn to Paris and beyond, including the Spirit Award for Best Animation, the Audience Award in France, and the Best Screenplay Prize at Le Grand Rex.
It’s a quirky, imaginative story that reminds us why animation has the power to surprise, delight, and move audiences in ways few other mediums can. Seeing it on the big screen was a treat for everyone who joined us, and it continues to inspire emerging filmmakers around the globe.

Looking back at CineBooth’s journey, it’s incredible to see the stories we’ve shared together across different cinemas in London.
At Genesis Cinema, The Crossover brought a bold mix of films that sat between our regular volumes, while at in Crouch End, Vol. 6 and Vol. 7 carried audiences through everything from sharp humour to award-winning animation and unforgettable live-action stories.

What if a sweet could let you hear the voices of the world around you? That’s the whimsical premise of Magic Candies, a 2024 animated short by legendary director Daisuke Nishio, best known for Dragon Ball Z.
The story follows Dong-Dong, a boy who feels invisible at the playground, until a bag of marble-shaped candies changes everything. With each candy, he discovers unexpected voices and learns that the world is far more alive and magical than he ever imagined.
With Nishio’s incredible legacy in anime, Magic Candies combines heart, humour and wonder in a way only he can. Experience it on the big screen as part of 2025 Oscar® Nominated Animation Short Films on 17 September at The Castle Cinema

Did you know? Jus D’Orange, one of the standout films from Short Collections Vol. 7, is making waves worldwide. This brilliantly crafted animation has already picked up the Spirit Award Animation at the Brooklyn Film Festival, the Audience Award at CPLTQC in France, and the Prize for Best Screenplay at the Filmmakers’ Evening at the Grand Rex in Paris. It’s also taken home top prizes in Greece at Kisffo, including Best Short Animation Film and a Cinematic Achievement Award.
We’re so proud to have showcased Jus D’Orange as part of Vol. 7, giving London audiences a first-hand look at a film that’s fast becoming an international favourite.

On 30 October, celebrate the spooky season with Short Collections: Halloween Special Vol. 2 at , a night filled with eerie stories, twisted humour, and unforgettable narratives.
We close the year on 4 December with Short Collections Vol. 8, a curated selection of shorts from around the world that will take you on an emotional, thrilling, and visually stunning journey. Tickets are available now at cineboothfilms.com.

At Cinebooth we work around the clock to find ways to help everyone with a talent to get the recognition they deserve and chance to connect with others be it: Actor, Composer, Filmmaker, Scriptwriter, Screenwriter, Editor, Film Producer, Assistant Director, PoD, Cinematographer, Production Designer, Runner, Camera Person, Student in film...
First of all lets clarify that we do not have paid memberships and it’s because we see ourselves as a family and it shows with the warm welcoming from our hosts at our events.
Our first type of event is our OPEN MIC + SHOW & TELL NETWORKING EVENT. Quite a mouthful but let me tell you what it’s about. We give everyone the chance to arrive first of all to the event for the first hour or so, this happens with some great classic tunes and a nice mix of cocktails, mock-tails and beers all served by our very own bartender.
Once you all arrive we start our open mic segment in which you can all go up and pitch an idea or project or mention you’re looking to collaborate with someone.
Seems good so far...
Well! here’s the best part we understand that sometimes it’s hard to share your vision to a large crowed on a microphone so this is the SHOW & TELL part. You can submit a showreel, trailer, photograph slideshow, monologue and even a small audio sample (for composers) to help everyone understand a lot better what you wish to express on the night. Just be sure to send this to [email protected] and fast as many other people will be doing so too :) .
So what’s the second half about...
Our second event held once a month is our screening event. We show a variety of different short indie films provided to us by email to [email protected] either being a Vimeo or WeTransfer url link.
Then the next step is to put it on a big screen to an audience of other people in film or film enthusiasts, but the fun doesn’t stop there! We’ll provide the chance for you to network with people before, after and in between intervals, so you can continue to make other great films maybe with someone in the room.
We believe that feedback is important to help one grow, so we give a simple questionnaire to the audience and later in return you’ll receive a professionally detailed email from us with the results which helps as constructive feedback.
Hey and here’s a little secret... The film that are ranked highest we keep track of this because later on we’ll add them to the list of films for our festival. Why do you want to be entered for our festival ? Well we reward the winner with funding for their next film to make an even bigger and better one.
The nights our hosted by 3 very entertaining gentlemen. Each have their niche in film but in ways you’d never expect.
We have Harry, but don’t be fooled by the name! he’s also known as Joao. He’s your friendly hugger of the night. He has been an actor on stage playing lead roles, he’s worked at cinemas and when not working spends his free time at cinemas watching films. After 5 years working in offices as a web developer and graphic designer he dropped the stable life style and became duty manager at a London cinema to put he’s focus purely the film industry.
Then there’s Marcial, a filmmaker with film festival experience running his very own in animation in the Canary Islands. He has travelled over to loading and blessed us with his fantastic knowledge and drive in this field.
Of course we also have Vlad, the young puppy of the team. He brings a conversation and energy like no other. With University studies and ambition distributing short films and helping creatives produce there work, he bring us the most up to date fresh insight on the industry!
Finally you may of heard we’re an online platform. It is true we have a site in which you can create a free profile to add on your business cards with options as similar to spotlight or mandy but again at no price! Also on this site we have the entire library of the films at the event we show so you can enjoy them again in the comfort of your home.
It sounds like a lot so the best way to understand what we do is by coming along to event some time. We look forward to see you there.
