Oddball Studio Oddball Studio is a Vocal and Recording Studio based in Prestatyn, North Wales. We also provide backing vocalists if required.

Voice Over service, for Corporate Videos, Online videos and websites and also Radio adverts and jingles. With over 30 years teaching experience and more in the performance industry, the studio is run by Debbie Bevins, professional singing teacher, v

ocal coach, choreographer and theatre arts practitioner in dance and drama. The studio is also active in supplying singers/performers for events, shows, films and vocal recording with other companies who distribute countrywide. As a singing teacher and vocal coach, Debbie specialises in Musical Theatre, Rock, Pop, Jazz and Blues, Students at the Studio are taught for Performance, Examinations, Confidence Building and some just for Fun! For those wishing to take their examinations, these are taken through The London College of Music (LCM). These are accredited by Ofqual, which serves as a UK governmental stamp of approval and quality assurance, confirming parity of standards with other similar awarding bodies, and award UCAS points for higher grades. The Studio currently offers LCM examination preparation in Music Theatre and Popular Vocals, with those wishing to take their Music Theory examinations also catered for if required. Students at The Studio also get the opportunity to perform whenever possible and the studio actively supports various local charities by holding fundraisers, concerts and providing students to perform at charity events. As a Recording Studio, Oddball offers a range of " Recording Gift Certificates" which make a great present for your budding Rock and Pop Stars! Studio time is also available for singers and musicians wanting to work on their own, tracks or demos. The Studio also offers a Voice Over service, for Corporate Videos, Online videos and websites and also Radio adverts and jingles. Some of my students are experiencing their very last day in school today, so lots of photo reels passing my feed. It's amazing to have the privilege to be a small part of your experiences growing up and watching you learn to fly high 😊
A few will leave me soon now, as they travel onwards and upwards on life's journey, whether it's to Drama school, uni, or pursuing their chosen careers in a different way.
I just wanted to say how incredibly proud of you all I am ❤️

It's always a bittersweet time of year, when my older students grow their wings and fly off on their next adventures.
Last night I said ' au revoir' (it's never goodbye) and a big thank you to student Heidi Tarr, for my gorgeous Orchid, and beautiful words on my card ♥️
Heidi came to me at my studio guitar in hand, a budding young 'rock star' wanting to work on her vocals. Through the last few years we have sang everything from rock, pop, pop punk, jazz and blues ( and even a bit of musical theatre) while working on different vocal techniques and more.
Heidi, I am so so proud of how hard you have worked to get to where you are now, your passion for music and your drive shines through, and your confidence to perform has grown so much 🤩.
You will always be a part of my studio family, and I look forward to coming to one of your gigs very soon, but, in the meantime, fly high, keep rocking and following your dreams, because dreams really do come true 🎶🎸😍🤘🎶

Several of my students have attended these type of workshops over the years, (some have gone on to study at Italia Conti too).
Attending these types of workshops can help give you the feel of the type of course on offer, and the teaching style they employ.
Auditioning for Drama school doesn't come cheap, especially if you have a lot of them, so attend as many free open days as you can, and if there are any you particularly feel might be a 'fit' for you after doing your research, then consider attending a workshop there if you have the chance.

UK Productions are looking for local talent or have a base within 25 miles of venue.

Dancers aged 16 or over for the Principal Ensemble with Principal Cover roles.

Auditions are being held at:
‘The Ballroom’, The Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth on Thursday 7th May 2026.
12pm Principal Ensemble Audition.
(Dancers to arrive at 11.30am to warm up)

PLEASE ALSO NOTE THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: -
• Role: Ensemble who may be required to cover principal roles.
• MUST be aged 16 or over (Over licensing Age and completed GCSE’s). Please check time off college/work is allowed before audition.
• Dance Audition: A high standard of both ballet and jazz is required.
• Auditionees will be taught a routine on the day. Please bring heels to the audition.
• Strong acting & vocal skills required for covering principal roles.
• Please prepare a Disney song as may be required to sing on the day - bring backing track on iPod/iPhone/MP3.
• May be required to read sides (script) on the day.
• Must be available to start rehearsals from Monday 23rd November 2026, (two weeks full rehearsals- no time off will be allowed) and be available for the full schedule of performances from Saturday 5th December – Sunday 3rd January 2027 inclusive.
• First week of rehearsals 10am – 6pm including Saturday.
• Second week (production week) – rehearsals between the hours of 10am – 10pm.
• Rehearsal and performance fees will vary, depending on age.
• All auditionees need to live within 25 miles of the theatre’s postcode; travel and relocation fees are not included in the contract.
