Rotaract Club Of Bangalore in association with Bangalore Film Society presents screening of the documentary Haleema.

Date - 3rd July
Time - 7pm
Venue - Oval theatre, Freedom Park

'HALEEMA is a powerful and moving short film about a mother and her two children's quest to survive in the Sudanese desert where water is scarce and the militia is on the prowl. HALEEMA makes issues that seem abstract to an outsider, into vivid, tangible realities. The performances are excellent, particularly that of the caring mother, desperate to help her children, and of the child that plays her young daughter. The cinematography captures the harshness and the beauty of the desert, the score is original and effective, and the editing makes this poetic film move at the right pace. I'm impressed by the writing and the direction.'
