ਬੜੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਗਾਇਕ, ਐਕਟਰ ਤੇ ਰਿਕਾਰਡਿੰਗ ਸਟੂਡੀਓ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦਿਲਖੁਸ਼ ਥਿੰਡ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਈਟ ਰੌਕ, ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਹੋਈ। ਪੁਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਯਾਦਾਂ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ। ਬੜਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ

Ravinder Peepat has passed on. A classmate, friend, filmmaker, Director, Writer and much more.

He was the main strength and guiding force behind CHANN PARDESEE and Director of WAARIS.

Goodbye my friend. Rest in peace

The sad and untimely death of our senior actor and pioneering make-up artiste Shri Pervesh Sethi has left a void in Punjabi cinema and theatre world. He will be remembered not only for his artistic contribution but also for his wonderful nature and personality.

We mourn his passing and pray to God to to give strength to his family to bear the loss.

On the 8th of June members of the Executive Committee of the Federation of North Zone Film & TV Associations met representatives of the film industry of Ghana, Africa at the Ghana High Commission in New Delhi to discuss mutually beneficial collaboration between the Punjabi Film industry and the Film industry of Ghana. The government of Ghana was represented by their High Commissioner.

When this initiative is put into practice we can look forward to shooting Punjabi films in Ghana with concessions and benefits offered by the Government of Ghana.

We look forward to our next meeting with them to sign an MoU and start the process.

The Screening Committee of the Federation of North Zone Film & TV Associations watched the Short Films received in April 2018. However, the Committee has advised that more entries should be invited so that a wider choice is available.

The Federation invites fresh entries for a Screening to be held in the month of May.

Also the Executive members of the Federation met with Executives of North zone film and TV ARTISTS association and North zone film and TV WRITERS association and discussed some important issues for the welfare of associations.
Executive Members in this meeting at Cheema studio Chandigarh: Mr. J.S. Cheema, B.B.Verma, Dr Ranjit Sharma, Malkeet Rouny, Jasbir Dhillon, Paramjit Pallu g, Manmohan g, Mrs Satwant kaur, Boby Ghai, and Vinod Sharma.

The response for the Short Film Festival to be held next month is very good. If more good films are received we may have to increase the duration of the screenings.

A short film HIJRAT won an award at the Hyderabad Film Festival yesterday. Some video channels are also screening short films in their regular programmes.

There is still time for any new entries to be submitted.
