He is well known for his role Park Yoon Hoo (박윤후) in KBS1 167-episode daily drama “Pure in Heart”, aka “Pure 19”, broadcasted from May 22, 2006 to January 12, 2007. This drama recorded high TV ratings around 40% and has been broadcasted in Southern California, Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia, Seattle and Washington D.C. [1] This drama was also aired in Taiwan in 2007, and in Singapore in 2008
. In addition to TV dramas, he also appeared in two films directed by the renowned South Korean movie director Kim Ki Duk. In the first one “The Bow”, he played a college student involved in a mysterious and dangerous relationship between a grandfather and his granddaughter. He appeared in the second movie “Time” as a guest star. He also participated in the movie “May I Cry?” in 2006. Currently, Suh Ji Suk is fulfilling the mandatory 2-year military service in South Korean army. He was enlisted in Choonchun 102 Supplement Unit (춘천 102보충대) on 5/29/2007. After 5 weeks basic training, he was assigned to the 12th Infantry Division (육군 12사단) located in Inje, Kangwondo (인제, 강원도), and he is supposed to complete his military service on 5/3/2009. On 5/3/2009, he was discharged from the army, and then had a fan meeting on 5/10.
