"I invited only 50 people to my wedding" - Ruth Kadiri speaks out

Why invite all family members and friends to your wedding?

Nollywood actress and producer Ruth Kadiri has addressed speculation surrounding her marriage, saying she is not hiding her husband but simply choosing to keep their relationship private.

In her words
"I invited only 50 people to my wedding.

It was exactly what we both wanted, and I didn’t want any drama around my relationship.
I think that’s the best decision I’ve ever made because it has helped me stay grounded and define my relationship"

Mr. Peter Obi Sharing Rice in Imo Wasn't for Politics — That’s Just Who He Is 🍚🤝

Some days ago, a video of Peter Obi went viral — he was seen sharing rice at an event in Imo State. As expected, some people quickly said it was just political strategy. I made a post that day, trying to explain that what you saw wasn’t packaging — that is truly who Peter Obi is. But many thought I was just trying to defend him.

Because of that, I decided to look for proof — and I found an old video from 2018, long before the 2023 elections. In that video, Peter Obi was doing the same thing — serving food to guests with his own hands. No crowd, no campaign. Just him, in his house, living his normal life.

In that same video, you’ll hear him say that even when he was Governor, he was the one who served visitors in his home, and that he enjoys doing it. Not for show. Not for clout. Just the way he is.

Now look around the room in that video — a simple two-bedroom flat. No maid. No luxury. Just calm, clean, and modest. This is a man who has been Governor twice. A billionaire. Yet, he still chooses to live simply.

That’s why I smile when I hear people say, “Peter Obi is just doing all these things because he wants to be President.” Maybe that’s not entirely wrong — but the difference is why. He’s not doing it for power or wealth. He’s doing it because he truly wants Nigeria to work. He feels the pain of the poor. He sees the suffering in the country, and he believes he can help change it.

And let’s not forget — no matter what happens to Nigeria’s economy, Peter Obi won’t go broke. He’s already made it. He’s a multi-dollar millionaire. He doesn’t need to impress anyone. He’s not doing these things for himself. He’s doing them for us.

So before you judge him next time, please watch this 2018 video. Then ask yourself honestly:
Was Peter Obi sharing rice in Imo about politics — or was it just a man being true to himself?

✈️ Governor Alex Otti Unveils Plans for Airport City to Transform Business in the South East 💼

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, has revealed that his administration is currently building an Airport City that will serve as the major hub for the business ecosystem of the South East.

He made this known while hosting a delegation from Skymaster Aviation Services, a private aviation company seeking to partner with the state government in offering aviation services within the Abia Airport City.

According to Governor Otti, construction work on the airport runway is already in progress, as part of his vision to build an international airport that every Abian and Nigerian will be proud of.

Speaking during the visit, the MD/CEO of Skymaster Aviation, Prince William Ogbonna, stated that the company currently operates in Port Harcourt, Lagos, and even Milan, Italy. He confirmed their interest in partnering with Abia through a Public-Private Partnership to offer both domestic and regional flight operations.

“We will work with the government to provide air services, not just locally, but also across West Africa. We also plan to use nearby airports like Port Harcourt and Owerri to help build the needed air traffic for Abia’s airport,” Prince Ogbonna explained.

With this bold step, Abia is gradually positioning itself as a future hub for aviation, commerce, and regional connectivity.

An Ogun State High Court on Friday convicted and sentenced three young men for the ritual k!lling of a 16-year-old girl, Sofia Okeowo, in the Kugba area of Abeokuta South Local Government.

The trio, Mustakeem Balogun, Soliudeen Majekodunmi, and Lukmon Abdulgafar, were apprehended for the gruesome m8rder of Okeowo on January 28, 2022.

The court released a fourth suspect, Waris Oladeinde, on March 22, 2022 due to lack of evidence.

According to the court proceedings, Sofia had gone to visit her boyfriend, Mustakeem, who had s3xual in*******se with her and, during the act, viciously attacked and strangled her alongside Soliudeen, then beheaded her.

They also cut parts of Sofia’s thighs and stuffed her headless body into a sack, subsequently taking Sofia’s head to Lukmon’s house to be burnt with a local burner.

The horrific crime came to public attention after a viral video showed the trio being apprehended by community guards with Sofia’s head burning in the local burner. They were also seen reciting incantations over her co**se.

Delivering the judgement on Friday, the court convicted the trio of m8rder, sentencing Mustakeem and Soliudeen to d3ath and Lukmon to life in prison.

The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, reacting to the judgment, said, “Ogun State has won this case, and the convicts have been conclusively excluded from civilised society for the considerable future.

"We are grateful for the closure that we have been able to provide Sofia’s family. I am incredibly proud of the prosecutors at the Ministry of Justice who secured justice despite challenges.”

Ogungbade, reiterating the ministry’s commitment, noted that they will continue to spare no expense and hold nothing back in their quest for justice, advising young ones to chase skills or employment rather than resort to money rituals.

He also urged members of the public to return to the traditional values of hard work, disdain for crime, and collective responsibility for instruction and correction.
