Continuing my teachings on why the God of the Bible did not lie about creation.
It is I—even I—who once lived in darkness among the bushes, yet the Lord my God lights my path. This is how the Holy One instructed me to introduce myself today.
According to science, the Sun formed before the Earth, and I do not dispute this. Interestingly, the Bible also says the same thing. Let us now look at Genesis 1:1–8:
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
If you look carefully at verse 1, the Earth at that time had no form. According to modern science, before the Sun formed, our solar system existed as a vast, cold, swirling solar nebula—a giant cloud made mostly of hydrogen and helium gas, mixed with dust, ice, and heavier elements from older stars. This cloud slowly rotated and collapsed under gravity, possibly triggered by a supernova shockwave, flattening into a spinning disk. The Sun formed at the center, and the planets later condensed from the surrounding material.
This is exactly the formless Earth the Bible speaks of. Scripture calls it “earth,” even though it had no shape yet. Science, through many years of research and observation, agrees that this formless state existed before the Sun fully formed.
When there is ice and extreme cold, water is present—alongside gas and dust. God called all of this “earth.” This was the formless Earth mentioned in the Bible.
So where did many people misunderstand God in this matter?
It is because what God calls “earth” is not the same as what humans commonly call earth today. If someone asks you to bring earth, you will likely bring sand—and you would not be wrong. But sand is like a child bearing its father’s name. In truth, sand is born through processes involving water, so sand is a product of water over time.
According to science:
Sand is produced mainly by the breakdown of rocks over long periods of time.
Wind, water, ice, and temperature changes slowly break rocks into smaller and smaller pieces.
This process is called weathering and erosion.
When rock particles become small but still gritty, they become sand.
Most sand is made of quartz, because quartz is very hard and resists decay.
In one line:
👉 Sand is formed when rocks are worn down by natural forces over time.
Science is confident about this because:
We observe rocks breaking down today through rivers, waves, wind, glaciers, and temperature changes.
Rivers transport rock fragments and deposit them as sand on beaches, riverbeds, and deserts.
Under microscopes, sand grains are clearly fragments of known rocks and minerals.
Laboratory experiments reproduce rock breakdown through mechanical and chemical processes.
The same evidence exists on Earth, the Moon, and Mars.
Scientifically speaking, sand is a proven end product of long‑term rock weathering and erosion.
Water also plays a critical role in forming rocks:
Water carries sand, mud, and minerals.
These materials settle and, over time, pressure and mineral cement form sedimentary rocks such as sandstone and limestone.
Minerals dissolved in water crystallize to form rocks like limestone, gypsum, and salt rock.
Water does not form igneous rocks, which come from magma.
So we clearly see that water plays a major role in forming rocks and sand. Therefore, the “earth” we see today—the sand and soil—is a product of water over time.
God, being eternal and all‑knowing, understood this long before modern science confirmed it. Science now tells us that water formed very early in the history of the cosmos.
When you speak of a family, you do not list every member separately. You call them by the father’s name. If the father’s name is Harrison, you say the Harrison family. Everyone is included.
Likewise, in the Bible, the twelve sons of Jacob are called the children of Israel—named after their father.
In the same way, when God spoke of that giant, cold cloud of gas, ice, and dust, He called it water, including everything within it.
Now look again at Genesis 1:3–5:
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light…
In the midst of this great “water” that was without form, God brought order and said, “Let there be light.” That light corresponds to the formation of the Sun.
So now we see clearly: the Bible and science are not telling different stories—they are describing the same event in different languages.
The Bible says there was a formless Earth covered by waters, and light emerged.
Science says there was a giant cloud of gas, ice, and dust, and a great light formed at its center.
Are they not saying the same thing?
This is why I chose not to be only a preacher, but also a seeker of scientific understanding. I left where I was because those under whose authority I stood could not understand me. Instead of understanding, they resisted me many times. Yet the Lord my God encouraged me not to stop and promised to be with me until the end.
I did not leave out of pride, but out of obedience—to become the man God wants me to be. Lord, You know the inward truth that human eyes cannot see. Be my strength and my guide. Do not let me grow weary or lose hope. Do not allow my enemies to defeat me. Grant me desires that align with Your will, that I may prosper and progress on this journey. Do not abandon me as men have done.
This is why God told me to introduce myself according to my conditions, my works, and what I have endured. A time will come when He will remember these things and use them for good among my children—and also to judge my enemies. Many other things He has shown me, which I will not speak of here.
So with this teaching, you can now see clearly that the God of the Bible did not lie about creation.
I will continue this message if necessary, for I still have much more to say..
