The third of the final three movies in the 2026 event. You'll know the music. But the story shows the difficulty Ravel had in pulling the work together. After seeing this 2024 movie, I went away and did some reading on the artist to understand a bit more about him and what I'd seen in the film.

The movies continue tonight, 7pm Mon 7 Sep. The poetic, dark but beautifully filmed Irish movie, The Banshees of Inisherin.

Friends yesterday but not today. The story mirrors the Irish Civil War and the absurd lengths past friends go to in their attacks on each other.

Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and a donkey.

The bar will be open from 6pm and you can get an ONLY SCOOP handmade ice-cream.

The festival continues on from the Picton Drive-In Movies.

Seumus' Irish Bar, Picton had a hand in bringing this one to us.

The Blues Brothers got us underway for Six Nights-Six Movies with a big crowd and a few people dressing up.

Sounds like Movies got off to a flyer last night with the Picton Drive-In Movies. There were good crowds to get your port town festival started.

It was wonderful to see so many people coming in from Blenheim and beyond. Thank you.

Tonight Sunday 6 Sep, then Tomorrow and Tuesday we have three movies that have ranked very highly on Rotten Tomatoes.

Door sales will be available but you'd be leaving it to chance tonight for the Blues Brothers. Doors open at 6pm.
