There are many research and college-enterprise cooperation in my lab, which covers very wide range. Most of our research is associated with animation, movie and game industry, including high-poly design, game design, animation, virtual goggle for VR applications, digital archive, point cloud, 3D scan (for landscape and character), 3D print, motion capture and analysis, etc.
2. We deign and impleme
nt the training programme for fourth-grant graduate students, which aims to enhance employment rate. It is proud that we have been continually receiving funding from Ministry of Labor for five years, i.e. Currently, there are four MA students in my lab. Their research topic varies according to their interests, but focusing on the design research in the field of 3D-related applications.
4. 3D modelling skill is the basic requirement of my students.
5. Research students have to publish their research outcomes to Chinese-Design Institute (CID), IASDR and SIGGRAPH, i.e. at least one conference paper per year.
6. Regarding the international collaboration research, we have joint research in the field of creative computing with Professor Hongji Yang who is the deputy head of Centre of Creative Computing (CCC) at the Bath Spa University, UK. We also plan to publish at least one journal paper to the international journal of Creative Computing (i.e. Professor Yang is the chief editor.) per year.
7. We keep a very close relationship with Professor Robert Chen, Nick Higgett at Faculty of Art and Design, De Montfort University, UK.
8. We are associated with many game and animation companies in Taiwan in terms of university-enterprise cooperation, including http://www.zealotdigital.com.tw and http://www.cheerdigiart.com/
9. We also design the interactive game devices for Kaohsiung Museum of shadow puppet (http://kmsp.khcc.gov.tw/).
