John 14:26

Good morning my Brothers and Sisters in Christ. To God be the Glory.

Here's our devotion for this weekend.

Soul-Lift Daily Devotional With Pastor D. M. Tikili.

Topic: Finding Rest In A Restless World – Part 9

Date: Sunday, August 10, 2025

Devotional Reading: Psalm 23:1–6

Key Verse:
“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.” (Psalm 23:2)

Bible Character: David the Shepherd King

Devotional Insight:

Only a shepherd who truly cares will make his sheep lie down in green pastures. David, once a shepherd himself, knew this well. In Psalm 23, he reveals a God who doesn’t just guide, provide, and protect—but also gives rest.

Sometimes we don’t even realize how exhausted we are until the Lord makes us slow down and lie down. True rest is not always our idea—it’s God’s loving initiative. He leads us beside still waters, not rushing torrents; into green pastures, not barren deserts.

In a restless world, we often feel guilty when we’re not being productive. But in God’s economy, rest is part of your growth. He restores the soul when we slow down and let Him lead.

Thought For The Day:

Rest is not laziness; it’s divine wisdom that allows your soul to be restored.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, be my Shepherd and lead me into places of divine rest, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

2. Father, restore my soul from every inner exhaustion and unseen burden, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

3. Holy Spirit, help me to embrace rest as a gift from God, not a sign of weakness, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

4. O Lord, cause me to lie down in the green pastures of Your presence and peace, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Prophetic Declaration:

I prophesy rest over your soul and body.

The Lord will make you lie down in green pastures of provision, peace, and purpose.

You will no longer run on empty.

God shall lead you beside still waters and restore what has been drained from within.

You will flourish in rest and overflow in strength.

So shall it be, in Jesus’ Mighty Name!

Soul-Lift Daily Devotional With Pastor D. M. Tikili

Topic: Finding Rest In A Restless World – Part 8

Date: Saturday, August 9, 2025

Devotional Reading: Jeremiah 6:16–19

Key Verse:
“Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” (Jeremiah 6:16a)

Bible Character: The People of Judah

Devotional Insight:

Many today are weary because they’ve abandoned the ancient paths—God’s ways, His Word, and His will.

In Jeremiah’s day, God gave His people a clear solution to their restlessness: “Return to the old paths, the good way… and you will find rest.” Sadly, they responded, “We will not walk therein.”

This generation is busy inventing shortcuts, new trends, and modern philosophies that offer everything except lasting peace. But divine rest still lies in the old path—prayer, obedience, holiness, humility, faith, and trust in God.

When you ask for the old paths and walk in them, you’ll find that God’s rest hasn’t expired—it’s eternal, dependable, and available for those who choose to follow Him with simplicity and sincerity.

Thought For The Day:
Rest is not found in modern inventions but in ancient obedience.

Prayer Points:
1. Father, lead me back to the old paths of truth, purity, and obedience, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

2. O Lord, deliver me from every false way that leads to restlessness and emptiness, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

3. Holy Spirit, guide my steps in the good way that brings rest to my soul, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

4. Lord, let the hunger for Your Word and Your ways increase in me daily, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Prophetic Declaration:

I declare your feet shall be planted in the good way of the Lord.

You will not wander in paths of confusion or rebellion.

The ancient foundation of peace and rest will be restored in your life.

You will walk in the light of God’s truth and find rest for your soul.

From this day, every false rest is exposed and rejected.

You shall walk in the old path and enjoy divine rest, in Jesus’ Mighty Name!

Topic: Finding Rest In A Restless World – Part 1

Date: Saturday, August 2, 2025

Devotional Reading: John 16:29–33

Key Verse:
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).

Bible Character: The Disciples of Jesus Christ

Devotional Insight:

The world is plagued with anxiety, uncertainty, wars, economic pressures, and emotional instability. In the midst of all this, Jesus assured His disciples and us of peace that only He can give.

They too were afraid, confused, and unsure of what the future held. Yet, Jesus comforted them with a victorious truth: “I have overcome the world.”

Rest is not the absence of challenges but the presence of Christ in the storm. His peace is our anchor in restless times.

Thought For The Day:

You can find divine rest not by escaping the world, but by embracing Jesus in the midst of it.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord Jesus, fill my heart with Your supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

2. Father, deliver me from every burden and restlessness troubling my mind and emotions, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

3. Holy Spirit, teach me to rest in Your promises even when the world around me is shaken, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

4. O Lord, help me to walk in faith and not fear, trusting in the victory of Christ over the world, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Prophetic Declaration:

I declare that in the midst of the world’s troubles, you will experience the peace of Christ. Every restlessness in your life gives way to divine calm. You shall not be moved. Peace is your portion—spirit, soul, and body—in Jesus’ Mighty Name!

Topic: If The Devil Cannot Deceive, He Cannot Defeat You (Part 1)

Devotional Reading: Genesis 3:1-7

Key Verse: “And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.” (Genesis 1:4).

Bible Character: Adam and Eve

Devotional Insight:

From the beginning, Satan’s most potent weapon has not been power but deception.

In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had everything they needed, yet through subtle lies, the serpent distorted God’s Word and planted doubt. He didn’t overpower them; he deceived them. Once deception entered, disobedience followed, and defeat was inevitable.

This strategy has not changed. The devil thrives in the minds he can manipulate. That’s why Ephesians 6:11 commands us to “stand against the wiles of the devil.” If you can detect his lies and stand firm in the truth of God’s Word, he cannot defeat you.

Victory begins with discernment.

Truth is the believer’s first armor. Jesus said, “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

Don’t trade God’s voice for the serpent’s hiss. Hold tightly to divine truth. Every time you expose a lie, you destroy the devil’s power over you.

Thought For The Day:

Every spiritual defeat begins with a lie believed. Reject deception, and you will walk in divine dominion.

Prayer Points:
1. O Lord, sharpen my spiritual discernment to identify and resist every deception of the enemy, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

2. Father, deliver my heart and mind from every lie I have believed contrary to Your Word, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

3. Holy Spirit, flood my soul with light and truth, and shield me from the manipulations of the wicked one, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

4. I cancel every satanic narrative that has taken root in my life and declare victory through God’s truth, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Prophetic Declaration:

I prophesy over your life today:
You will not fall for the enemy’s deception.

Your eyes are anointed with divine insight.

You walk in truth and triumph.

No lie shall defeat you.

Your mind is sound, your heart is firm, and your spirit is discerning.

Victory is yours perpetually—in the Name of Jesus Christ!
