Spring is here and the weather is attempting to make good on the promise for warmer temps in the coming weeks. Good thing too as booking’s for 2026 outdoor movie nights are out pacing last years event totals. Not saying that 2025 wasn't up to par, but there's definitely something in the air inspiring many former customers to return to STR and book movie nights again this summer. Still, 2025 was a fun year and here's a fun video montage starting with corporate Karaoke and ending with a late Fall outdoor school movie night on the football grid iron. Looking forward to our 19th season in 2026. If you're inteersted in booking a weekend event, best do it soon!

Fun and memorable Friday night festivities in North Field Township for the second annual lighting of the Christmas tree in Community Park. Santa arrived in fine fashion riding into town on a NFT Fire truck. Here’s the magic moment when the tree 🌲 lit up and officially started the holiday season!

It’s hard to believe that only 5 weeks ago weather conditions were still agreeable for an outdoor movie night! Now, feels like the sub Artic and Winter doesn’t officially start for another 2 weeks!

Although STR's Facebook posts have been somewhat unpredictable, this summer, it’s been a good year that has included multiple community bookings from Dearborn, Fraser, & Whitmore Lake (Northfield Twp.), to Grand Rapids & Strongsville Ohio (Cleveland). This summer also included several specialty events including a corporate Karaoke party for an international STEM organization as well as a high profile political speaker event for Michigan's 9th District. To all our 2025 customers we are extremely grateful for your business!

Closing out 2025 season, STR made a run for the southern border and performed our massive 32 ft screen for Toledo Public Schools, Beverly Elementary! Special thanks to Principal Coleman, Assistant Principal Lowe, and the hundreds of Beverly Elementary students, parents and staff that came out to Thursday night's feature showing of "The Wild Robot". A fun night for all and great way to close out the 2025 outdoor movie night season in fine fashion. STR will look to bring fun indoors as we enter into late Fall and winter. Keep us in mind as your preferred supplier of Karaoke services! 😀👍

Join Fraser Parks and Recreation for its final Saturday Outdoor Cinema on Saturday, September 13 for THE INCREDIBLES!

Temperatures are set for the mid-to-low 60s for this Saturday, so why not round our film series with a trip to Steffens Park, 33000 Garfield Road, right behind City of Fraser City Hall and Fraser Department of Public Safety, for this Pixar classic about one extraordinary family!

Even with the warmer temperatures, blankets, jackets, sweaters, and sweatshirts are recommended. Please remember that while coolers, food, and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted, glass containers and alcohol are not.

As always, FREE face painting happens before the movie starts and complimentary popcorn and cotton candy - one per person, please - will be provided while supplies last.

Enjoy one last INCREDIBLE late summer night under the stars, close to home in fantastic Fraser!

Some movie night locations offer an almost perfect venue for screen placement and viewing. Hidden Lake community is one of those locations as the private lake community provides a picturesque amphitheater setting overlooking the lakeside residence marina. A "gem" of a location with the added benefit of a food truck & beautiful weather! A great night indeed for a special movie feature of "A Minecraft Movie".

Return to Fraser yesterday evening for an unseasonably cold and breezy movie night. Not sure if weather conditions + MSU & UM football games would keep people away? However, that was not rhe case as a great turnout made the trip to Settler’s Park for a feature showing of “Finding Nemo”. One more outdoor movie planned for City of Fraser next Saturday. The finale will include the animated PIXAR classic “The Incredibles”!

Tomorrow, tomorrow, we love you TOMORROW, especially when our first September Outdoor Cinema Saturday, FINDING NEMO, is only a day away!

Join us Saturday, 9/06 at Steffens Park, 33000 Garfield Road in Fraser, for a heartwarming story of family, friendship, and determined fish of all kinds. Arrive early to get a good spot, then enjoy a cool evening under the stars featuring complimentary face painting and snacks (while supplies last) before the movie begins.

Coolers, blankets, and yard chairs are allowed, but glass containers and alcohol are not. Please remember to dress appropriately, as temperatures will drop from the low 60s to the mid-50s from the start of the movie (between 7:45-8 PM according to the weather service) to its conclusion.

Can't make it tomorrow? We've got our final movie just around the corner, but we'd love to see you THIS Saturday in Steffens Park!

One of the largest crowds of the season came out for Kung Fu Panda 4 🐼 in Whitmore Lake last night. Colder than usual late summer temps didn’t affect family turnout whether it be by land or sea. Special thanks to Tami, Don and the NFT community for their support over the years! As for 2026? See you on the other side Dragon Warrior!

While SE Michigan was getting hammered with thuderstorms last Saturday, Grand Rapids area stayed dry with clear skies all evening. A perfect night for an outdoor movie night within the Westgate Neighborhood Park in Comstock Park. A special event sponsored by Bellabay Realty and a host of other local companies. Special thanks to Brittany and all those that came out for a feature showing of Disney's Moana!
