Infatti in questo 'telefilm', sono assenti scene di sesso esplicito, volgarità fine a se stesso e violenza, ogni evento non è metafora della vita moderna e del suo grigiore morale, tutte situazioni, invece, tipiche delle fiction americane dell'ultima decade. La particolarità di Chuck (e qui sta l'innovazione) è la capacità di divertire 'semplicemente', senza perdere nella qualità delle trame o nel
la caratterizzazione dei personaggi. Chi non è più giovanissimo apprezzerà anche l'aria da film 'di genere' anni '80, con un 'secchione' come protagonista, che da fallito avrà nella serie la completa 'riabilitazione', non tanto agli occhi degli altri quanto di se stesso. Il tutto in mezzo a molta azione ed altrettanta comicità, che ne fanno un prodotto di puro intrattenimento, in grado di far passare i 43' della durata in maniera spensierata e, visto i tempi che corrono, questo rappresenta uno splendido risultato.
