House Tour of a Contemporary Conversion in Cambridge - Transformation of a former two-family residence resulted a light-filled, single-family home designed for modern family life. The interior was reimagined to create a continuous, open ground floor—bringing together living, dining, and kitchen spaces—while large lift-and-slide doors extend the home seamlessly into the landscape beyond. A reworked ribbon stair, paired with a dormer expansion, provides both functional clarity and a unifying architectural element that connects each level of the house. Clean detailing, full-height doors, and a restrained material palette of rift oak, gray, and white create a calm, cohesive environment.

Minimal, but exacting. Gracefully arched steel windows lead into a quiet retreat where antique brick floors, Venetian plaster walls, and custom cabinetry set a restrained palette. Oversized steel doors fold fully open, turning the pool house into an airy arcade, tuned to sea breezes and slow afternoons.
