Hi All,

Thank you for your interest in China & Beyond. As we mentioned during the RSO Fair, we are a culturally-focused club aimed at promoting intercultural exchange and understanding between students with Chinese heritage and students from other cultures. Among what we do on campus, one major event that we host is seminars, in which we invite professors from the College and the grad schools here to give talks to students on topics of their specialty that are also related to China. In addition, we have a group of high school students from China visit us every year, usually in the winter, and we act as the host to introduce them to the studying environment and student life at UChicago.

School year is wrapping up and spring is the time to say goodbye, but we are always family. This is a home away from home.

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up at the movie night Farewell My Concubine today! The event was a great success. We had a turnout of more than 50. Hope everyone enjoyed the movie and ate a lot. I received emails and messages from the audience after the event appreciating our efforts and showing interest in further events. We couldn't be happier with this approval from you. China and Beyond has more exciting events coming in the next year and hopes to see you there!
