If your family is from Georgia, your research shouldn’t start with a random name search.

Start with the county, then look at:
• 1870 Census (FamilySearch)
• Probate & estate records (Georgia Archives)
• Land & historical records (Georgia’s Virtual Vault)

This is how many African American families move past brick walls.
