Our apologies to anyone who showed up for the Saturday screening of DEADLINE and found the kino closed. Kino owner David Axe wasn’t feeling well.

The movie is rescheduled for September. We announced the rescheduling online but some of you understandably didn’t see the announcement. Again, our apologies.

Join our guest, Austin film Director John Valley, for movie night @ 7 PM. John Valley is one of the hottest new horror directors in America. His 2020 debut feature THE PIZZAGATE MASSACRE, a paranoid thriller set in a world of uniquely American conspiracies, was just a preview of his voice and talent. His next feature, AMERICAN DOLLHOUSE, premiered at South by Southwest in March and got scooped up for distribution by Dark Sky, the same company that handles THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE.

AMERICAN DOLLHOUSE is a claustrophobic slasher about the world's worst neighbor. Funny, weird, shocking and featuring one of most original villains in memory, it's also one of the best horror movies of 2026. AMERICAN DOLLHOUSE comes out in January, but you can meet John, hear about his career and process and watch one of his favorite movies at The Babylon Kino on Aug. 28.
