Hammer & Shield

Hammer & Shield Welcome to "Artimis Art" where I build "Unique Pieces of Combat Art". Each piece is different because they are hand crafted. Thank you, Artimis.)

Here is where you'll see the pieces I am working on, so come in, take a look around & let me know what you think. From the mind of a Madman comes the creation of dreams to reality. Wooden hammers, shields, leather goods, bone handled knives and sword; along with other random items now and again. I do not make the blades (yet) for the swords or knives, I do however give the blade blanks I acquire a

new look using wood and bone to complete them. I also dabble in resin casting and wand making, walking staffs have been known to be created from time to time as well. Mostly I try to create the things which pop in to my head or haunt my dreams from time to time. Stop in, take a look, if you find something you fancy, ask about it, some times the things I finish get stowed away on a shelf. (Update: Recent years I have had a decline in health, that and time, I do not produce a quarter of what I use to and some items have been stopped all together. Most of what I post now is what I have time for, and those items tend to go to a vendor who is kind enough to try and sell those items in their shop. The rest are items I put off making for myself, and now I am tying to get them done. Do come look, enjoy, comment and see the items that still come from the now aged mind of a Madman.

It was a broken Axe, the wood that went into the axe head broke free from the main shaft. I drilled a holed in the handle and utilized an oak dowel 3/4 inch to replace the broken piece, pinned and epoxied them together and re-stained the handle, and doing a faux suede grip with leather ends. The project so far:

Ok, I have done enough Axes, Spears, (no not really)_ so I figured something new. Artimis Art present the latest in Combat Artwork, The Warhammer. Only gamers, geeks and maybe Henry Cavill will get the reference. Enjoy.
