Public Culture is an artist run company. Founded by Evan Trexler, his goal was to promote up-and-coming artists by showcasing their work. While enrolled in a Digital Media studio class Evan Trexler was approached by Ian Bowman with similar interests in documentary style films. We banded together to start shooting interviews and create a website to display the artists we interviewed along with ther
e work. With the help of artists from all around we can create a community of artists helping artists to get their work out and show their full potential. A community of artists is a lot more powerful than one single artist alone; we believe in helping one another succeed. The more traffic the site picks up, the more known the artists and their stories will become. Not only are we helping the artists we interview, they give us an opportunity to fine tune our craft as digital media artists. The goal of this company is to interview artists from not just local areas, but from all around the country and hopefully the world. Not only are we looking for artists to interview but for artists with the same mentality who are willing to help and spread the word.
