History Of Ohio Theatre of Madison Indiana

I want to clarify for those who have asked and because of the impression given in the Roundabout Madison article: We (the Ratcliffs) did not sell the Ohio Theatre. We lost it via forecloser to the person who held the mortgage. That person passed the theatre to Friends Of The Ohio. We are not affiliated with the new group.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we were forced to close the Ohio Theatre immediately.

We are very sorry to say that the final Madison In The Movies festival is cancelled as well.

We are so extremely grateful to everyone who has supported us and the theatre these past 20 years. It’s been a great pleasure and a blessing to run the Ohio.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
After 20 wonderful years owning and running the Ohio Theatre, we have made the difficult decision to close the Ohio Theatre. Declining attendance has reached the point where it is not possible to continue operating. After weighing options, we decided the best course of action was to close.
The last day for the Ohio Theatre will be Sunday, March 6, 2016. The final weekend’s movies will bea film-festival tribute to Madison’s movie history. The movie schedule is posted below.
We are so extremely grateful to everyone who has supported us and the theatre these past 20 years. It’s been a great pleasure and a blessing to run the Ohio.
