The Unmentionables Film Festival is an annual theme-based festival that will focus on a different “taboo” topic each year. The inaugural Unmentionables Film Festival (June 14 - 21, 2015) invites audiences to participate in a week-long public discourse and celebration of all things menstrual. Although menstruation touches the lives of over three billion women on the planet, it remains largely misun

derstood and shrouded in shame. Through the lens of filmmakers from around the globe, the festival will explore the spectrum of realities and experiences from the first menstrual flow through menopause. Join us for a week-long extravaganza of thought-provoking documentary, narrative, and experimental menstrual-related films and videos; visual and performing artworks; readings; panels; post-screening discussions and receptions; the Red Tent Marketplace; and numerous other special events. Open to everyone of all ages, sexes, and genders, the festival promises to provide an unconventional exploration of an everyday occurrence that will be not only enlightening and entertaining, but also quite possibly mind-blowing. (Boom!)
