An adrenaline rush from start to finish, Redline is the feature directorial debut by anime veteran Takeshi Koike, the culmination of seven years of labor and more than 100,000 hand-drawn frames.

In this world of anything-goes street racing—in space—the need for speed drives a motley bunch of daredevils, including the pompadoured JP and the cool, professional Sonoshee McClaren.

The action culminates on Roboworld, where the racers battle each other and a hostile nation that unleashes a ridiculous shades-of-Akira monster. Don’t miss the explosive Redline on MoMI’s big screen; a stylish adventure with a surprisingly sweet finale.

Screens May 15+16, part of our World of Animation series. Click the link in our bio for tickets.

Closing Sunday, May 3: THE GREAT ADVENTURE OF MATERIAL WORLD (2019–2020) is one of the artist LuYang's most intricate and conceptually ambitious projects. In the Museum’s Jane Henson Amphitheater, visitors can experience the environment through a projected single-channel film or by playing the game on a custom-built arcade.

Follow an androgynous protagonist, Material World Knight, through distinct episodes that move between conflict, transformation, and renewal, echoing samsara, the ceaseless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth across different planes of existence.
