The premiere will comprise a screening, Q&A and a dance performance by the actors who play father Albert Junito Esquilin Jr. and SUN Cordell Purnell in the film!

SUN is a relentless, NYC Horror Film by Dominic Lahiff. Shot on 35mm Kodak film it features Cordell 'Storm' Purnell and Albert 'The Ghost of NY' Esquilin, pioneers of the Brooklyn originated dance forms BrukUp and Flex.

Synopsis: When a dancer's wife invites him to a networking party, a hidden secret, a malevolent figure and a horrific assault cause a night of celebration to descend into a dark and chaotic hell.

To help conclude Spotify and Saturday Morning's year long Black History Is Happening Now campaign D L A Films was incredibly honored to team with the amazing creatives and director Christian Padron to create a documentary film exploring six unsung moments in Black musical history and their transformation into merchandise designs by outstanding artists Joy Miessi Art and Brandan Bmike Odums. A beautiful experience shooting on 16mm Kodak Motion Picture Film with an unbelievable team in front of and behind the camera:

Always incredible to bring projects like this to life: Last November D L A Films was given a week to create 6 x 15 second pieces of content to celebrate the relaunch of Spotify's Viva Latino playlist. 4 days of preproduction, a flight to LA, a one day shoot and a one day post, color and conform later and the films were born. A few weeks ago we met with our talented Cast & Crew to test anamorphic and spherical lenses with 35mm Kodak Motion Picture Film stocks at Panavision New York.

Our test film was developed by Colorlab and scanned by Technicolor. We're now reviewing the results to determine the lens and camera package that will bring to you all the highest quality image possible.
