Let’s KICK IT UP A NOTCH in 2021 ✨

If you want to accomplish everything you set out to do in the upcoming new year, the work starts NOW!

Let’s get started:

First, ask yourself what you’d like to accomplish in 2021... is it more website traffic? more time off? more bookings? bigger social media following?

Second, once you’ve narrowed down your priorities you need to figure out the smaller steps it is going to take to get there. Part of this is asking yourself why you haven’t accomplished these things yet. Is it...

✨ that you feel unworthy of that kind of success?
✨ you’re hesitant to change what’s already “working” for you?
✨ find yourself just not having or making the time for it?
✨you’re concerned that you lack the skills to complete it?

If you don’t figure out what has kept you from this accomplishment so far, you could never repair it to set yourself up for future success.

I’m Madison, I go by Maddie far more often. Fun fact: I was named after the mermaid in the movie Splash! 🧜🏻‍♀️

I love craft beer 🍻
I’ve been learning to roller skate this year 🛼
I still play Pokémon Go 🙈
I traveled to some cool places 5 years ago 🏝🌋🗿⛰(Central and South America) but haven’t really been outside the US since (I’m itching to go to Europe eventually...)
I currently live in Phoenix, AZ 🏜 but before this I was in Flagstaff and I miss the cold 🥶
I have a Target addiction just like most people around my age 💵
My favorite video game of all time is either Fallout 3 or the Last of Us 🎮

💜 Give yourself a raise! Increase your prices. If you're too busy and overworked you should reevaluate your pricing. Price your work to reflect the time, effort, and care you should ideally be putting into what you do. Guarantee that you're able to give your clients the full extent of your abilities. ⁠⠀

How do you relax? 💆🏻

To be honest I’m still working on it myself. I have a constant list of to-dos and a seemingly endless stream of what-ifs...

But I’ve found that I relax easiest if I remember to stay present in the moment. Focus on the even the little that are right there. How warm the sun is, how cool the drink in my hand is, how thankful I am to have made it this far.

Sunday Smiles and Small Talk ☀️

Not to seem fake deep on a selfie...

But...

Stick with me on this one.

Do you see these curls in my natural hair? 🥰 Two years ago my hair had gone completely pin straight and lifeless. I started my journey back to healthy hair when I realized I could work at healing the damage that had made it go straight. (Thank you 🎆)

And it worked! It didn’t work in a day, or a month, or even a year. But I didn’t give up. I stayed consistent and you can see results the results today!

If you were to *just* look at the results you would never know it took me two years to get here. You might be jealous. Or you might use all the same methods as me and expect your hair to look like this tomorrow.

Here’s the point:

It’s the same thing with your business. You might not see the results of your hard work right away, next week, or even a month from now, but if you stay consistent and keep going with it even when it seems like nothing is working you’ll get there.

I promise it will be worth it 🎉
