THIS WEEK AT THE BAY 🎞️

ALBERT LEE — LIVE AT THE BAY 🎸
Saturday 9.12 - 7:30

There are guitar players and then there are the players other guitar players talk about.

For more than six decades, Albert Lee has been one of the most respected guitarists in rock, country and roots music. His unmistakable playing has taken him around the world alongside Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris, The Everly Brothers, The Crickets and countless others, while earning him two Grammy Awards and a reputation as one of the great guitar players of his generation.

And this next Saturday, we have the rare privilege of welcoming him to The Bay Theatre.

There’s something particularly special about seeing a musician with a career of this magnitude in a room as intimate as ours. No arena. No distant stage. Just Albert Lee, his band, a guitar, and a few hundred seats between us.

For a theatre built around bringing people together to experience great films and great music, this is exactly the kind of night we want you to experience at The Bay.

An evening of remembrance, courage, and conversation.

Thursday, September 11 | 7:30pm

This September 11, The Bay Theatre is honored to welcome U.S. Air Force veteran Spencer Stone for a screening of “The 15:17 to Paris”, followed by an in-person conversation about courage, service, and the extraordinary circumstances that changed his life.

In August 2015, Spencer was traveling through Europe with childhood friends Alek Skarlatos and Anthony Sadler when an armed attacker opened fire aboard a train bound for Paris. Together with fellow passengers, they acted…helping stop the attack and save lives.

Their story was later brought to the screen by director Clint Eastwood in “The 15:17 to Paris” with Spencer, Skarlatos, and Sadler portraying themselves.

On a day that carries profound meaning for so many, we invite our community to gather with us…to remember, to reflect, and to hear firsthand from someone whose own life became an unexpected story of service and courage.

We're honored to be able to host Writer & Director Rafael Manuel this Tuesday (9.1) at 7pm for an intimate screening and conversation of his striking feature debut: "Filipinaña". The film follows 17-year-old Isabel through the manicured world of an exclusive Philippine golf club, where beauty, privilege, and power are not quite what they seem.

A sharp, darkly comic coming-of-age story about the rules we inherit and what happens when we begin to question them.

Please join for a special evening with a post screening intimate conversation to follow hosted by Luna Sallusti
