Film Review, Information:

The womanizing Pedro Dosamantes (Pedro Infante) is urged by his feisty grandmother Rosa García de Dosamantes (Sara García) to settle down with the decent Flower (Sylvia Derbez). Pedro breaks off to conquer Flower, which he does, but municipal president Pablo Valadez (Rodolfo Landa) is also interested in the young woman. He plots to ruin Pedro’s chances, but fails and earns a beating for his trouble.

“This is just an enjoyable film. I love Silvia Derbez in this- Pedro is put in a very uncomfortable and unnatural position in having to choose to continue being a mujeriego - or Silvia. Silvia is perfectly cast in this part. Sara Garcia does what she does best here- and we get to see a more intimate side of her character.” ~ G. McGoff

Story: Pedro Dosamantes is the grandson of Doña Rosa García de Dosamantes, a prominent ranchera. She loves Peter deeply, but she is constantly trying to get him to behave, to no avail. While Pedro is always popular with the ladies, he has his eye on Flor, the niece of a neighboring rancher. Flor flirts with him, and this soon turns Pedro against the municipal president, Pablo. Pablo tricks the orphan Tucita into believing that she is Pedro's daughter, as a way to ruin Pedro's chances with Flor. Everyone is quick to believe that Pedro is Tucita's father. Shortly afterwards Pedro realizes the truth, fights Pablo and wins Flor's heart. At the end of the film, Pedro and Flor get married.
