Film Maker and Story Teller

I also take photos. Sometimes. My name is Austin Maguire. I'm a Film Maker, currently based in Scotland.

Everyone and everything has a fascinating story to tell and It just so happens, I love telling stories. I've been involved in Film for around 4-5 years now. Prior to that I called myself an Actor, something that I suppose I will always label myself as. I studied for 2 years and gained an HND in Acting and Performance. Throughout that time and, more importantly, outwith that time - whilst performin

g in plays and working in various short films, I loved stories. Stories of individuals, stories about anything. I found it hard to engage with a character, or a play, that had no story. This is when I started making stories and finding stories to tell. If you hadn't already guessed, I love telling stories through the medium of Film. I also dabble in Photography, examples of which will be provided and the majority have been shot on an iPhone. My work is varied - from Documentary work to Advertisement and everything outwith and in between. I enjoy the challenges that come with making Film's, big or small, and don't shy away from anything difficult. If there's a will, there's a way.
