Peter Thiel has invested in Objection(ai), a startup co-founded by Aron D'Souza — his collaborator in the lawsuit that destroyed Gawker Media — which uses former FBI, CIA, and British intelligence operatives to investigate journalists on behalf of anyone willing to pay $2,000. Once a complaint is filed against a piece of journalism — by anyone, including strangers unrelated to the story — a team of ex-intelligence investigators assembles an evidence file. The journalist is invited to respond, and the material is handed to an "AI tribunal" of large language models that issues a public verdict. The result feeds into an "Honor Index" — a permanent public score attached to the journalist's name marketed as a measure of their integrity.

Press freedom advocates have described the platform as a privatized intimidation system designed to chill reporting on powerful figures. Critics note the $2,000 fee makes it accessible to corporations and political operatives at industrial scale. Thiel co-investor Balaji Srinivasan is also backing the project. Salon described the system as "a hallucination of the legal process" — binding arbitration without courts, verdicts without juries, and consequences without due process.

Am I the only one that finds it odd that the date for the next Planning Board Meeting covers two whole days?

No agenda either. And despite there being discussion by the state requiring posting same to public site, that didn't work either. So they went back to announcing their compliance (which they've already failed to deliver) would be in the papers. But which paper? Seems very.convoluted, not to mention running a shadow site designed for obstruction and failure to notify certainly doesnt jive with transparency objectives.
