The business started to grow with a new formation called The Copyright Company (Kuwait) WLL in 1994 covering 12 outlets in Kuwait. It was the leading distributor of entertainment
software in Kuwait – video releases in VHS, VCD and DVD formats,

music on CD and cassette and video games in CD-ROM format. Gradually the company wings spread over other parts of GCC as The Copyright Company in Qatar, Disco 2000 LLC in Dubai, The Copyright Company in Abu Dhabi partnering HH Shaikh Saeed Bin Al Nahyan, from the ruling family and The International victory bow in Oman with major outlets in all locations. During the 80’s and the early 90’s the Outlet of Disco 2000 at Al Diyafah Street Satwa, Dubai, was one of the first and the main source of latest video releases in Dubai and is still remembered fondly by long term residents. At present The Copyright Company LLC have 4 retail outlets at the Jumairah Umm Suquem and the Mirdiff in Dubai, at Khalifa Street and Khalidiya Street in Abu Dhabi. Apart from retail, the company is the major supplier especially of budget and promotional items with exclusive contracts to groups such as Al-Futtaim and Sharaf DG (Plug-Ins Elextronix 5 outlets, Ace hardware 4 outlets, Toys ‘R’ Us 5 outlets and Sharaf DG 6 outlets). Recently the company tied up with Sharaf DG to supply DVD’s to Abu Dhabi Duty Free.
