🎬🌟We are so thrilled to be heading to Alice Springs and screening the heartwarming and delightful ‘The Fix-It-Man And Fix-It-Wooman’ at the Araluen Arts Centre Theatre on Friday, 11th April at 7:30pm!

🧡This beautiful animation was born in the Yarrenyty Arltere Art Room, a strong and creative space in the heart of Yarrenyty Arltere Town Camp. It’s a place where stories are shared, art is made, and community lifts each other up. That’s exactly what this film is about, finding a friend and helping each other out.

🏆Winner of Best Australian Animation at Flickerfest 2025, this film was created with love, laughter, and collaboration by these incredible artists:

On Friday, 11th April, The Best of Australian Shorts showcases the richness and diversity of Aussie storytelling. Highlights include ‘The Fix-It-Man and Fix-It-Wooman’ set against the vibrant backdrop of Alice Springs from the Yarrenyty Arltere Town Camp winner of Best Australian Animation at Flickerfest 2025, ‘Marcia and The Shark’, winner of the Panasonic Award for Best Australian Short Film, starring Tilda Cobham-Hervey (I Am Woman, Hotel Mumbai). And don 't miss ‘The Dog’, featuring a powerful performance from Kate Walshe (Grey’s Anatomy), and the darkly hilarious ‘Candy Bar’ from Nash Edgerton (Mr In Between), starring Damon Herriman (Justified, Breaking Bad).

😂On Saturday, 12th April, The Short Laughs Comedy delivers a night of quirky, laugh-out-loud films from around the world. ‘Nelson the Piglet’, a Dutch gem about a miniature pig that steals the town’s heart, which won the Jury Prize for Best Short Documentary at Flickerfest 2025. The Irish comedy ‘The Head On Him’ follows a biracial boy’s hilarious struggle to tame his growing afro in a small town.
