🎬 44 years of movie magic! 🎉

Today was a very special day at Sun Cinema.

We had the pleasure of welcoming back one of the original owners, Rob Latimer, who stopped in with a newspaper clipping from the day the cinema in Bairnsdale first opened 44 years ago. It was wonderful to look back on where it all began and celebrate the incredible history of our cinema.

Back in 1982, the very first film to play was The Man from Snowy River—the beginning of four decades of unforgettable stories, blockbuster premieres, family outings, first dates, and countless tubs of popcorn.

A huge thank you to Rob for sharing this special piece of our history with us, and thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. Here’s to many more years of bringing the magic of the movies to East Gippsland.
