We are incredibly honoured to have the Rex Theatre featured by FRRR and ANZ as part of this year's ANZ Seeds of Renewal program.

The support we received in 2022 enabled us to develop a 10-year Strategic Roadmap for the Rex Theatre. That roadmap has become the foundation for many of the projects we are delivering today, helping ensure this much-loved community venue continues to thrive for future generations.

As Chairperson and Manager of the Rex Theatre, Hayden McKinnon reflected on what makes the Rex so special:

"The Rex is a place to come and meet other people. Whether it's seeing your grandchildren on stage at Carols by Candlelight or watching local people perform at community events, it's a place that brings people together."

As a volunteer-run, community-owned theatre, we simply couldn't achieve what we do without the support of organisations like FRRR and ANZ. We are incredibly grateful that they believed in our vision.

If you're involved with a community group, sporting club or not-for-profit with a project that could strengthen your community, we encourage you to consider applying for the ANZ Seeds of Renewal grants.
