Sensory Movie Day was started by Chanelle Avison- a mother of 3 children on the Autism Spectrum- who wanted going to the movies to be an enjoyable experience for all families, hers included. The lights, sounds, smells, sitting still, being quiet, etc. is a lot to process and for some families it was just too overwhelming to even try.
