Daylesford Cinema The Phoenix Cinema is bringing cinema back to Daylesford. Located in the historic Rex building.

A registered charity run 100% by volunteers, we’re more than a movie theatre, we’re a community hub for film, connections and shared experiences. A community run non for profit theatre run by volunteers for the benefit of Daylesford/Hepburn Springs local and greater communityies, running 2 different films at least 3 times each weekend and also a cheap as Sunday and Tuesday screenings for the local

🎉 Great News! 🎬♿

We’re delighted to let everyone know that our cinema lift is now fully operational, meaning we now have wheelchair access to our cinema.

To ensure we can provide the best experience, wheelchair spaces must be booked in advance, as we have a limited number available for each session.

While we’re pleased to now offer accessible entry, we don’t describe ourselves as a fully disability-friendly cinema, as some aspects of our heritage building still have limitations. However, we are committed to making the cinema as welcoming and accessible as we can.

If you require wheelchair access, please contact us or book your tickets in advance so we can reserve the appropriate space for you.

This week marks the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC week, celebrating “50 years of deadly”.

NAIDOC week is a celebration and recognition of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We are honoured to be holding a one off showing of “Journey Home, David Gulpilil” a documentary fulfilling late Actor David Gulpilil’s wish to “bring cameras into his tiny homeland of Gupulul, deep in north-east Arnhem Land’s picturesque wetlands”
