Say hello to this year’s judging panel 👋

As entries start rolling in for the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award, it's time to meet this year's judges.

Mikala Tai is an independent writer, curator and cultural strategist specialising in contemporary Australian and Asian art. In 2027, she will curate one of the year's most anticipated exhibitions: the TarraWarra Biennial.

José Da Silva is a curator, writer, and Director of UNSW Galleries - one of Australia's leading university art museums. He was the curator of the 2024 Adelaide Biennale of Australian Art and has worked across major exhibitions at QAGOMA.

Tamara Dean is a leading Australia photomedia artist who joins the judging panel as a former Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award winner, with 'Sacred Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera)' taking the $25,000 award in 2018.

Entries close Mon 17 August, midnight.
