The population of Helensvale is reported in the 2011 ABS census as 15 989. The population ages are evenly disbursed however the largest age group being 40 to 44 year olds with over 20% under the age of 20 - indicating a number of families call Helensvale home. To accommodate the younger age group Helensvale has two education facilaties - Helensvale State School (Primary) and Helensvale State HIgh School which is an Independant Public School that is well respected for it excellence academic, sporting and arts programs.
