A lovely soul (who wants to remain anonymous) came along to one of our screenings this week and enjoyed their experience so much that they wanted to support us and make sure others got to come along and enjoy a movie with us too!

SO THEY DONATED $300 WORTH OF TICKETS FOR FATHER'S DAY! YUH-HUH!

Nicole Kidman’s first movie was BMX Bandits, and the plot is somehow even more Aussie than the title.
It’s about a bunch of kids riding BMX bikes around Sydney after they accidentally get mixed up with bank robbers, steal their police-band walkie-talkies, and spend the rest of the movie being chased through shopping centres, waterslides, streets and construction sites.
No helmets. No fear. Just curly-haired Nicole Kidman and two mates treating Sydney like one giant stunt park.
Before Hollywood, she was out here doing BMX crime cinema. Nice one Nicole.

Screening tomorrow, Sunday 6th at 4pm at The Hub.

What better way to celebrate STAR TREK'S 60th Anniversary than with the best STAR TREK movie ever made! GALAXY QUEST screening tonight at 6:15pm

Paul Verhoeven's INCREDIBLE blockbuster has it's last screening tonight at 8:30pm.
This one flew WAAAAY over the heads of everyone when it came out. The genius sub plot Verhoeven weaved was missed on it's release. An incredible watch in 4k and with our sound system, fitting just as much in today's timeline as it would have in 1942.

This Sunday for Father's Day we're screening the Aussie cult classic BMX BANDITS.
It's about a trio of teen BMXers who become entangled with a group of bank robbers after discovering their cache of walkie-talkies. There's explosions, sick tricks, explosions, Nicole Kidman's in it too. It's cheesy and it's AWESOME.

On the day, thanks to the Tassie Old Skool BMX Crew, we'll have the exact replicas of the BMX bikes used in the film on display! So come down to the Hub and watch some classic Aussie cinema.

This Friday night…
Rewind presents GALAXY QUEST! Screening in glorious 4K.
If you’re a fan of 90s anything then you’re going to love this movie and if you’re a Star Trek fan and haven’t seen it then WHAT ARE YOU DOING??
It’s a hilarious comedy and a great action film too and one you’re not going to find on any streaming services.
We highly recommend this for Friday night at the moofies.
Starring the late great Alan Rickman, Sigourney Weaver, Tim Allen and Sam Rockwell! (Sadly he doesn’t dance in this film tho 🫩)
Grab a friend or come alone and make some friends. This is one not to be missed for some fun cinema viewing!
