Each of the beautiful cinema rooms at Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace were intricately and carefully designed, celebrating different features of art deco design and sentimental details. Let us take you on a tour!

⭐️ CINEMA SPOTLIGHT: THE ORPHEUM (Cinema Four)⭐️
The bones of our first and largest theatre, the Orpheum are those of the dress circle of the original one-screen 1735-seat theatre the building begun as in 1935. Now 700 seats, the Orpheum cinema is the regular home of a wide variety of events including film premieres, live music performances, panel discussions, large screenings, corporate events, comedy, film festivals, book launches and more.

Unique art deco designs feature statues of the mythical princess Atlanta of Arcadia. They hold glowing suns in their hands, sun rays run along the side walls through plaster clouds from a sun in each corner. Starbursts radiate from above the proscenium and the coloured lighting washes the theatre with varied colours.

The Orpheum features a 4K RGB-LASER projector for both 2D and 3D; 7.1 surround sound; Cinemeccanica Victoria 8 35/70mm film projector coupled with DTS, Magnetic and Dolby Digital Surround Sound; KV2 audio stacked speakers; and an aerial rigging point.

Unique to the Orpheum cinema is its Wurlitzer pipe organ, which was initially installed in the Wilson Theatre in Fresno, California in 1925. These magnificent instruments were designed to accompany silent films.
