will stay with you long after you leave the cinema. This one could haunt you to the grave.” - Time Out.

One of the best films of the year screens at The Pivotonian before anyone else gets to see it. 🎬

Sound of Falling won the Jury Prize at Cannes 2025 and became Germany's official Oscar submission. Four women. One farm. A century of secrets that refuse to stay buried. The kind of film that sits with you long after the lights come up.

Preview screening before Australian theatrical release.

A live virtual Q&A with the author of H Is for Hawk. One night, one conversation, and it won't come around again. 🪶

Helen MacDonald wrote a book on grief by writing about a bird. About what happens when you turn off your phone, fill the freezer with hawk food, and decide that the wildest thing you can think of is the only way through. It worked. The book changed people. Now we're sitting down with her after the credits roll.

A live virtual Q&A with the author of H Is For Hawk. 🪶

A woman in grief, a goshawk named Mabel, and the slow work of learning to let go. The kind of film that stays with you on the drive home.

Screening tonight as part of the Geelong Pride Film Festival. 🏳️‍🌈

A body pushed to its limits. A life lived at full volume, and the wreckage that comes with it. Kristen Stewart directs The Chronology of Water with the kind of honesty that’s hard to look away from.

R18+. This one doesn’t flinch.

School holidays looking a little loud? We get it. 🍿

If the house is starting to feel like a full-time production, Pivot is here with a much quieter kind of entertainment. Comfy seats, popcorn in hand, and a couple of very welcome hours where the kids are happily locked in on the big screen.

🌌 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐱𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐞
Mario and Luigi blast into a brand new space adventure packed with familiar faces, cosmic chaos, and family-sized fun.

🌈 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐨
A mysterious boy from the future crash-lands into Iris’s world, sparking a thrilling adventure through time and friendship.

🌳 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞
When three children discover an enchanted tree, they’re swept into magical lands filled with wonder, mischief, and unforgettable characters.

Round up the family, make a movie day of it, and let us help with the school holiday escape.

Easter is looking a little egg-stra special at Pivot this year 🐰

We are open across all of Easter, with the popcorn warm, the lights dimmed, and plenty waiting on the big screen. Slip out of the long weekend whirl, gather your people, and hop upstairs for a cinema break that feels a little more magical this time of year. ✨
