The St Kilda Film Festival has a new date, and it’s Saturday November 14th. 🎉

When we postponed last week’s screening, we asked whether you wanted more film festivals in Geelong. This is the chance to show it.

Thirteen of the best Australian short films of the year, from an Academy Awards qualifying festival, are getting a second shot at our screen.

As a small, independent operator, every ticket genuinely makes the difference. It still only takes less than 1% of our followers to fill the theatre.

Due to low ticket sales, we have unfortunately had to postpone this Saturday’s screening of the St Kilda Film Festival.

As Geelong’s only Art House cinema, we endeavour to bring the best of Australia’s cultural offerings to Geelong. But without the community’s support, we can’t continue to host these diverse events.

As a small, independent operator, sometimes hard choices have to be made.

It only takes 1% of our Instagram followers to fill the theatre! We know we have a dedicated group of supporters, and it’s times like these that we love to hear your voice.

The St Kilda Film Festival Regional Tour is coming to Geelong, and it's bringing 13 of the year's best Australian short films with it. 🎞️

They've been picked from Australia's largest and longest-running short film festival, an Academy Awards qualifying event where a lot of the country's next filmmakers get their first big-screen audience. Award Winners plays first, then Director's Choice, with a short intermission and the bar open in between, so you've got time to settle on a favourite before the second half starts. 🍷

Wilding is screening as a fundraiser for the Victorian Socialists Geelong branch, and the Bellarine, South Barwon, Lara and Geelong candidates are sticking around after the film for anyone who wants to bend their ear. 🗳️

Isabella Tree and Charlie Burrell watched their 400-year-old Sussex estate fail as a farm, so they brought back ponies, deer and pigs and let the land decide what it wanted to be. Directed by David Allen and based on Tree's bestselling book, it was an official selection at both the BFI London and Sydney film festivals. 🦌

is opening Discovering the Impressionists, and Pivot guests get $10 off. 🎨

A DJ plays through the rooms while the exhibition stays open into the evening, and with first and second generation Impressionists hanging together you can see how much they shared in the way they handled light, and how differently each of them was actually looking. Sessions run two hours, so there's time to stand in front of one painting for as long as it holds you and still get through the rest.

“Jasmin evokes some heavy imagery and in her hands / with her voice it hits you that much harder.” (ABC’s Dave Ruby Howe)

Melbourne based, Surf Coast raised Jasmin Adria, sees her music as memories and nicknacks collected from things that she feels, sees and experiences throughout her life.

She has worked and played beside artists and bands including: Paul Kelly, Teen Jesus and The Jean Teasers, Ben Lee, Ainslie Wills, The Belair Lip Bombs and Clare Bowditch.

Playing major festivals such as Port Fairy Folk Festival and Queenscliff Music Festival. Adria’s music has featured on Rage the TV show and has interviewed Paul Kelly for ABC’S Show Behind The News (BTN) for Aus Music Month. In 2022 she was featured in Triple J' s 'Class of 2022', which consists of the top 16 high school musical artists in Australia.

Jasmin Adria is launching her debut EP Set Me Free. A collection of songs and she has been dying to show you all. For one night and one night only get yourself cozy with a bag of popcorn and sit back and experience the Set Me Free the EP for the first time, through music videos, Adria Ads and other clips on the big screen.
