Cinema Politica is a non-profit community organisation based in Montreal, Canada, and has nearly 70 branches around the world, each of which independently curate and screen programs of activist documentary films. The organisation aims to give voice to filmmakers and issues that are underrepresented by mainstream cinema, inspiring audiences to become involved in discussion and activism. In 2015, we

are creating a Sydney branch of Cinema Politica to join the only existing Australian branch in Perth. We will curate a program of political documentaries, both Australian and international, that will be free for anyone to attend!
