🌟 Join us for this month's Klassic Kidz as we go on an epic adventure into a fantastical world filled with music, Muppets, and David Bowie!

Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) rehearses the role of a fairy-tale queen, performing for her stuffed animals. In real life she has to baby-sit her brother and contend with parents who don’t understand her at all. Her petulance leads her to call the goblins to take the baby away, but when they actually do, she realizes her responsibility to rescue him. Sarah is forced to negotiate the Labyrinth in order to reach the City of the Goblins and the castle of their musical king (the glam-rocking Bowie) who’s keen to keep the baby as his own...

🏆 From two-time Palme d'Or winner Cristian Mungiu ("4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days") "Fjord" opens at the ByTowne Cinema on October 16!

Mihai (Sebastian Stan) and Lisbet (Renate Reinsve) Gheorghiu, a Romanian-Norwegian Pentecostal couple, move with their five children from Romania to Norway. Settling in an isolated coastal village, they form a bond with their neighbours, the Halbergs. When adolescent Elia Gheorghiu shows up at school with some bruises on her body, the community asks itself if the traditional education that the Gheorghiu children get from their parents might have something to do with it.

Avalyn is a uOttawa student in Joint Honours Political Science and Feminist and Gender Studies. She is very involved in local theatre and has been dancing her whole life. She’s been a ByTowne aficionado since she moved to Ottawa 4 years ago, loves all things screenwriting, editing, television, and film and is also a HUGE "Fire Walk With Me" fan!
