Many parents talk to their kids about money, but far fewer feel confident their child could manage it independently one day. But according to a recent national survey*, that gap is due to a lack of practice, not a lack of conversation.
It's a good reminder that small, steady habits tend to matter more than we may realize, whether that's teaching a child about saving for a new toy they want now, or setting aside savings for the years ahead. The same idea also applies to a RESP, where small, steady contributions toward their post-secondary education savings can add up meaningfully over time!
